Cormorant Fisherwoman / CDC January 2020

Here is my submission for the January Character Design Challenge : Cormorant Fisherman.

Usually represented by men in China and Japan, I wanted my character to stand out of the traditionnal way of fishing. She is really close (maybe too much) of her birds, her "hairstyle" is basically a nest for them. Her Lifestyle and fishing technics are totally different from a "Normal" Cormorant Fisherman and she looks a bit marginal. The Cormorants act like her children and I wanted to give them a feel of velociraptors (like dangerous and unpredictable hunters).

"She considers her cormorants as her brothers and lives with them since her childhood.
Easily the best fisherwoman of her region and country, she always brings a ton of fish with the help of her flying comrades.
Unfortunately the villagers have some concerns about her way of fishing and her overall Hygiene"
